WCSGA Board Meeting Minutes

July 22, 2025

 

The meeting began at approximately 12:30pm.

 

Attending:

John Leal – President (on site)

Doug Coulson – Secretary (on site)

Tom Thorpe – Treasurer (on site)

 

Club Championship

• Dates are Sep 24/25
• Open online signup on Friday Sep 12
• Collecting $10 on Wed, cutoff 30 mins before start time
• Need separate signup for Thursday only players, send email invite or manually add?
• Last GHIN update from Sep 19 (to include tournament on 18th)

• Meeting agenda, send email to members by Aug 25 - Doug
  • Luncheon - Tom
  • Treasurer’s report – Tom
  • Gifts for Carol (gift card), Scott (gift card), Gary (gift card), Tournament Volunteers (2 - balls) – John
  • Raffle (5 gift cards) – John
  • Tournament results (low gross, flight places, CTP) - Doug
  • Age Shooter recognition/awards – Doug
    • $50 award is a one-time per person, not annually
  • Highest birdies award – John
  • Pace of play reminder – John

 

Luncheon

• Same menu as last year
• Will use Golf Genius for signups, registration is required to attend - Doug

 

July 24^th Scramble

• Pairing discussion
• Need to send general reminder to play fast and pickup after triple
• Add rules and reminder to tee sheet email
